What we hold
Your USDOT number and the company details published against it — legal name, address, officer, phone. Public data, read on your behalf so you do not retype it. Plus whatever you corrected on the order form, since that is what we send.
Your email address, for the receipt, the filed form, and any reply. The IP address the purchase came from, kept as chargeback evidence.
Not your card. Stripe handles payment end to end; we get a confirmation and four digits.
Site usage: pages viewed, the path through them, approximate location. Measured by Google Analytics — a browser cookie, and your IP address sent to Google. Purpose: which pages work. Not linked to your order. Not used for advertising.
Why we wrote to you
If you never bought from us: your company showed up in a public FMCSA dataset as having applied for operating authority, which requires a process agent designation you may not have filed. Every message carries one-click unsubscribe and an address a person reads.
Unsubscribe is permanent, immediate, and covers every brand we operate. No preference centre. No accidental re-subscribe.
Who else sees it
The FMCSA, in the filing. Stripe, for the payment. Our email provider, to deliver your documents. Google, for the site usage above. Nobody else. We do not sell it and we do not share it for anyone’s marketing.
Block cookies and Google gets nothing. The site works either way.
Retention
Order records: seven years, because they are financial records.
If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address indefinitely and deliberately. It is the only thing that stops you being contacted again — deleting it would undo the request.
Your requests
Write to support@roadwaycompliance.com to see, correct or delete what we hold. Two exceptions, both above: a completed order’s financial record, and a suppression entry — the record of you asking us to stop.
